Kabonge Nominated for Airtel-Fufa Coach of the Year Award

Allan Kabonge was named the best coach of the 2015-16 Fufa big league for guiding Onduparaka to the Premier League.

The awards will take place on Friday 2nd December at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Kabonge was named best coach in the 2015-16 Fufa big league season after leading a largely unknown Onduparaka FC to the premier league in their first time of asking.

He was also the head coach when West Nile Select team defeated Uganda Cranes in a regional tour in Arua. Kabonge is currently with Big league side Masavu FC.

Mutebi won the league with KCCA FC while Nsiimbe outsmarted Kabonge in the finals to win the Uganda cup trophy.

Voting mechanism.

Unlike other categories where fans have been required to send messages through their phones, the coach of the year will be selected after a voting process involving senior coaches.

The three names were submitted by the FUFA Technical Committee who had tallied nominations from 20 senior coaches who are part of the Uganda Football Coaches Association (UFCA).

The coach who will receive the highest number of votes will be declared winner in the grand event on Friday.
