The Kabarole District Police Commander Musa Tibakirana has come out with a strong warning some leaders in the district who incite the public over minor issues, cialis 40mg saying that these will not escape arrest.

The police boss condemned what he called criminality orchestrated by local companies with the help of local council leaders at Village, Parish and Sub county levels.

“As security, we shall not tolerate the issue of criminality. There are local leaders that are helping Furdsult Security Group, to cause insecurity but these are going to be apprehended,” He added.

DPC Tibakirana was speaking during a meeting between Furdsult Company Ltd, Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) Authorities, Kabarole District leaders and fishing communities around Lake Saka in Kicwamba and Kasanda Sub Counties.

The meeting was aimed at ironing out the grievances between MMU, Saaka fishermen and Furdsult Company that was contracted by the district to restock fish worth in 20 of the 52 crater lakes in Kabarole district; a Shs. 800million project.

The district’s decision to enter into a lawful partnership with Furdsult to restock the crater lakes was aimed at increasing revenue for the district, developing the local fishing industry and offering employment to the people. The project was nonetheless opposed strongly by majority of the lake users.

The fishermen complained to the Police and office of RDC that their wives were being raped by the company security officers when they go to fetch water and that they had been barred from fishing on the lake.

In a meeting chaired by RDC Mr. Stephen Asiimwe, all the parties agreed that sensitization of the people on Furdsult activities, begins immediately.

They also resolved that fishermen were free to fish using hooks to get food for their families and that Furdsult company creates a market where locals will be sold fish once a week.

Hon.Ruta Gideon district councilor Kasenda Sub County said at first he was disappointed when the Furdsult company security officials barred locals from fishing on the lakes but he is now happy with the company after allowing residents to use the lakes.
