During a spontaneous tour of the district projects in the sub counties of Kabende, http://civilianpeaceservice.ca/wp-includes/media-template.php Hakibaale and Kijura town council, http://cdaink.com.br/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-cli.php Burahya County on Wednesday, the councilors numbering 20 led by the district Chairperson Mr. Richard Rwabuhinga and the Speaker Stella Kyorampe, were shocked to find the sub county headquarters and health facilities abandoned.
At Kabende Sub County, they found that workers have never reported for duty since they went for Christmas, at Kijura town council the offices were open but with no staff while at Hakibaale Sub County the offices were locked by 3:40pm.
At Kabende Health centre III, the in-charge Dr. Deo Asiimwe and his few staff were present with renovation of the administration block by Baylor going on, while at Kijura health centre III, one nurse was found sleeping by4:30pm .
The in-charge at Kijura HCIII Isaiah Karamagi and his workers had signed in the attendance book but disappeared before 11:00am and according to the attendance book, Beatrice Karungi and Patience Namukoze had signed for Thursday 12th January an act that forced the district chairperson to confiscate the registration book for action to be taken against them.
The councilors resolved that the CAO should intensify the monitoring of the health facilities and sub counties if better service delivery is to be realized.
District chairman Mr.Rwabuhinga condemned the act of absenteeism and described the situation as appalling. He directed the District Health Officer and CAO Dunstan Balaba to take immediate action and punish his workers.
