One of Kabale’s most prominent educationalists and local politician David Skyluck Kagoma has passed away.
The former Rubaya sub county district councilor died on Friday morning in Nakasero Hospital, shop http://channelingerik.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/modules/acceptance.php Kampala where he had been admitted with cancer.
Kagoma served in the council since in the 1990s till March 2016 when he lost the seat to March Boaz.
After losing the elections, price Patrick Besigye Keihwa the Kabale district chairperson appointed him as a member of the district lands committee.
Several district leaders and politicians described the late Kagoma as an irreplaceable asset to the district as he was one of the few district councilors that would bring private members bills in the council that were well researched.
Kagoma served as the head teacher in several secondary schools in Kabale district from where he retired into politics.
He is also credited as one of the founders of Rukore Polytechnic Institute in Rubaya Sub County that has helped impart vocational skills youths in the district, who are unable to proceed with secondary and university education.
Chris Ngabirano the Ruhija sub county LC5 district councilor says the death Kagoma is huge loss to especially the younger generations which he selflessly shaped.
The district Chairman Patrick Besigye also noted that Kagoma would be greatly missed.
