Kabale: Murder Suspect Arrested at Prisons Recruitment Centre

Benson Andinda Basheija, mind http://cphpost.dk/wp-content/plugins/microkids-related-posts/microkids-related-posts-widget.php a 26 year old murder suspect was on Thursday arrested as he tried to join the Uganda Prisons service in the on-going nationwide recruitment.

His luck however, click ran out when he decided to enroll to join the Prisons service as a warder, at a recruitment exercise held at the Kabale district headquarters on Makanga hill.

Authorities say he presented himself, but on crosschecking his identity, they realized he was on the wanted list.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi regional police spokesman confirmed the arrest of Basheija saying that he was among the nine suspects, five of who are already on remand for murdering Rukandonda in mob justice.

Rukandonda was a resident of   Burora cell, Rugyeyo Sub County in Kanungu district and was killed by a mob of people who accused him of trying to block local community service and killing one of them.

He reportedly refused to have a drainage channel pass through his land and in a heat of exchange; he picked up a hoe and hit one of them on the head, causing his death moments later.

Upon learning of Muhimbise’s death, the angry locals descended on Rukandonda and beat him up. He escaped and hid in his house which the locals surrounded and burnt down, killing him inside.
