Kabale: Locals Sign Petition to Break Away From New District

Residents from the two sub counties that make up Rubanda County East in Kabale District have petitioned the Kabale Municipal leadership asking to break away from Rubanda and be added to Kabale Municipality.

Led by one Caleb Turyamutunga, this http://cosmoveda.de/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/admin/class-wc-admin.php the locals handed their petition to the Kabale Deputy Mayor Joweria Kakooza on Thursday at the municipal offices in Kabale town; in which they sought to break away from Rubanda County which was recently handed district status. The new district will become operational on 1st July 2016.

In their petition, for sale http://cphpost.dk/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-terms-list-table.php they asked to be added to Kabale Municipality as its fourth division that will comprise of Nyamiyaga, Kashenyi, Bubaare, Kitojo, Kagarama Bigungiro, Kateretere, Nangara and Bwayu parishes.

Turyamutunga revealed that they were prepared to hold demonstrations to show their grievances.

These claim that the new (Rubanda) district headquarters are too far away from them. Mulore where the new district will be headquartered is about 30 kilometers from the two sub counties while Kabale town is only 5 kilometers away.

Deputy Mayor Joweria Kakooza told the petitioners that she would table their petition before the executive as soon as it sits.

Henry Musasizi the Rubanda county East Member of Parliament however, says that what the residents are doing is a waste of time as the final decision has to be taken by parliament.
