Kabale: FDC District Offices Turned Into Internet Cafe

Opposition Forum for Democratic change –FDC offices in Kabale have been closed and rented out due to failure to pay rent.

The party offices located at Humura House along the Kabale-Katuna junction in Kabale town were closed and rented out to Rukundo International Internet Café.

An insider source told our reporter that the offices were closed three months ago after the party members failed to raise rent money which was Shs. 200, physician http://couponsavingfamily.com/wp-admin/includes/class-language-pack-upgrader.php 000 a month.

Leopold Twesigye another FDC party member from Kigongi in Central Division, http://crystalhills.org/media/widgetkit/widgets/slideshow/styles/infinite/template.php Kabale Municipality says the closure of the party offices has greatly affected the smooth running of the party activities.

Twesigye says that although the party leaders agreed to close the office after failing to meet rental dues, they did not provide another alternative where the supporters can get the services.

Lydia Turyahumura, the Kabale FDC party Chairperson who is also the landlord declined to comment on the matter claiming that party issues are not supposed to be discussed in the media.

Dr. Joseph Tindyebwa the FDC National Deputy Secretary General for Research and Mobilization says that the party is soon opening a new office so that supporters who want services are not inconvenienced.

Tindyebwa says that the party put an option of directly calling the district chairperson for those who want services.
