Junior Gazelles Return To Action Against Champions Mali

Uganda’s U18 women’s basketball team returns to court on Monday after a disappointing start against North African side Tunisia on Saturday.

The Junior gazelles who are competing at the tournament for the first time will play their second group game against defending champions Mali.

The Nicki Natuhereza coached side lost 65-26 to Tunisia in their opening game and will be seeking to upset overwhelming favourites Mali to brighten chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Mali started their title defence with a comprehensive 65-42 over Mozambique a game in which Adama Coulibaly registered a game high 19 points.

In group A, look Angola who defeated Madagascar 53-32 in their first game take on Algeria who lost to hosts Egypt.
