Judge to To Dismiss Speaker Oulanyah’s Divorce Case

The High Court’s Family Division judge Alexandra Rugadya Nkonge has threatened to dismiss a divorce case filed to this court by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Jacob Oulanya against his estranged wife Winnie Amoo over non-appearance in court.

Justice   Rugadya warned that once both Oulanya and his wife  Amoo fail to appear in court on the 23rd  Sept 2016 as expected , stuff she will be compelled to dismiss the case.

Justice Rugadya made this warning following the failure of both Oulanya and Amoo to appear for hearing of this case for today, approved the fourth time in a row.

This petition was filed by Oulanya last year seeking to dissolve his 3 year marriage to Amoo on grounds of denial of conjugal rights as his wife abandoned their marital home for the USA.

Amoo in her response supports their separation over what she calls irreconcilable differences on top of which she accuses Oulanyah of being adulterous to the extent of sleeping with their house helper.

Amoo further accuses Oulanyah of psychologically torturing her when he forced her to wear a black Indian cloth that allegedly belonged to his deceased first wife.
