KTN news anchor Joy Doreen Biira has been arrested in Kasese on Sunday.
Biira, http://childrensclasses.org/wp2012/wp-includes/class-wp-site.php who spent the better part of today sharing live updates on the storming of King Wesley Mumbere’s palace by UPDF commandos, this site http://codapostproduction.com/wp/wp-includes/date.php was picked from a relative’s residence.
The Kenya-based Ugandan journalist has been in Uganda for her traditional marriage ceremony.
Biira’s mother said the media personality was picked by men wearing military uniform.
She was taken to an unknown destination.
Biira’s friends have since taken to social media to pressure security services to release her.
Police and army are yet to comment on the latest development.
So far 55 people including security forces and Royal Guards have been killed in the latest skirmishes.
Security Security been beefed up in Rwenzori area and a house-to-house search for militants and weapons is underway.
Below is Biira’s last post on Facebook.
“It’s so sad what I’ve witnessed today with my own eyes — part of the palace of the kingdom I’m from, http://cerlalc.org/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-cli.php the rwenzururu kingdom, burning down. It felt like watching your heritage deplete before my eyes.
So the word on the ground is that there have allegedly been recruitments ongoing in exceeds of 1000 men with a motive not yet crystal clear. The heavy gun fire/battle exchange between the army and the royal guards that lasted over 2 hours this afternoon, was apparently after negotiations didn’t bear fruit.
Thing is men have been killed. Not just men but possibly bread winners of families from both sides – the army and royal guards .
Importantly I have watched part of my heritage burn up in flames from near by.”
Where did it all go wrong? Why the killings? Why the rage? Why the stubbornness? Why the ignorance? Why the thirst for blood shed?
