Reliable reports indicate the diminutive defensive midfielder is close to sealing a move from league champions KCCA FC to SC Villa.
It is believed that the workaholic who is unsettled at Phillip Omondi stadium will ditch the league champions for the Nsambya based side as a replacement for Taddeo Lwanga who has since moved to Vipers.
“It is almost a done deal, he has agreed a two year deal with SC Villa and that’s where he will play next season,” said a source that preferred anonymity.
Ntege has fallen out of favor at KCCA FC with Mike Mutebi opting for either Isaac Kirabira or Tom Masiko in the holding position.
The arrival of Saddam Juma further indicated that Ntege was bound for an exit.
There are also reports of not being on good terms with manager Mike Mutebi who is believed to be forcing Ntege out despite management wanting him to stay.
Ntege popularly referred to as “Kojja” has been a loyal servant of the club and among the longest serving player in the current KCCA FC squad since joining them in 2010.
If the deal goes through, Ntege will become SC Villa’s fifth signing in this transfer window after acquiring George Ssenkaba (from Kirinya Jinja SS) and Musa Mukasa, Simon Sserunkuma and Mahad Yaya Kakooza (all from Express FC)
