She thanked the tireless work of the medics at Nakasero Hospital and government which offered to pay for her treatment, story http://daa.asn.au/wp-includes/class-wp.php as well as the supportive friends and family.

“I am now out of danger, story and so is my mom, the driver and the guard. Some of these have now been discharged,” she said.

According to the scans, Namayanja had her femur fractured more than twice. During the Tuesday evening surgery, an interlocking nail was inserted to support it.

“This is why we call upon bodaboda riders to be observant of traffic rules. They need to learn to be patient and respect other road users,” she said.

She also refuted reports that she was travelling with lots of cash when the accident occurred.  “NRM is an organized party; we don’t move with money in the car but transact our business through banks. I was going to a function (at Kasagombe health Centre III for ground breaking to construct a Maternity ward) which didn’t require any money whatsoever.”

Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga who paid her a visit said she was relieved that Namayanja survived.

“I was in Geneva for a meeting when I was shown the picture of her car; I wouldn’t think that someone could come out the car alive,” she said.

“We were just here talking about the Bodabodas in the country and how they conduct themselves, we are looking for a way of regulating them and their activities.”

Doctor Isaac Kajja, an Orthopedic surgeon at Nakasero Hospital expressed hope that the Minister would recover fast as she is responding positively to the treatment.
