Residents in Bukaganga Sub country in Isingiro district yesterday attacked and demolished a police post to lynch 3 thieves suspected to have been stealing their animals.

However, the officers were over powered by the locals who razzed down the police post, as more back up was being called from Endinzi police station.

In a phone interview, the DPC Isingiro Moses Muzima confirmed the incident saying that he intervened shortly and ordered for the transfer of the said thieves to Isingiro CPS.

Muzima asked locals in Isingiro to stop taking the law into their hands and ordered local bars in Endinzi to always close at midnight.

The DPC further asked for names of crime preventers in the area whom he named to be involved in high way robbery to dismiss them from police work.
