The Ministry of Tourism on Thursday unveiled the Ishasha Uganda Wild run; a drive to enhance wildlife conservation awareness in the western region.
The run is slated for November 12th of November from communities of Kinkiizi, medical http://comfortzonetoronto.com/wp-includes/nav-menu.php Kanungu to Katookye Gate –Ishasha, tadalafil located in southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The run and walk, cure according to the Tourism minister Ephraim Kamuntu will be two kilometers into the park through a public road all
“Over 1,000 people from near the two parks Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are expected to participate in the run, not forgetting the people that are coming from Kampala and beyond” the Minister said.
Speaking to the media at the Uganda Media Center, Hon Kamuntu said that the run and walk is part of the annual Kinkiizi Tourism and Conservation Awareness Week which will run from 6th to 12th November.
“The run will also highlight the potential of the destination of Kinkiizi with Ishasha tree climbing lions as the face of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as a home to Mountain Gorillas”.
“This will ultimately boost visitors numbers with direct positive impacts on collection of conservation fees (park entrance fees) from which communities adjacent to National Parks receive 20percent of the revenue guaranteed’’
He further revealed that the chief runner and walker will be Rt Hon Daniel Fred Kidega and will be flanked by other ministers.
