International Friendly: Villa Dump ‘Poor’ Gormahia for Tusker fc

Ugandan affair: Fred Nkata tackles Batambuze in vipers-Tusker game.

Vipers sports club star Sulaiman “Mike” Mutyaba has commended Kenya premier league side, there Tusker FC for the show they put up when the two giants clashed in a barren international friendly match played on Saturday at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
Mutyaba who featured for more than one hour was not a big threat for the brewers failing to produce his trademark dribbles and step overs, every time forced to turn back for support.

“It was a good game and they were a good side as well, strong and physically fit. But we chose to play the game simple just passing around and making some good runs and shots on target. We are just from a long break spending only a week in training,” Mutyaba told Chimpsports.

The creative midfielder admits that his “level of fitness is not too good” and feels he needs to double his workout to go back to his best. Mutyaba has been touted by his coaches and teammates
to take over Farouk Miya’s role as the team’s main playmaker, a position he believes not too huge for him since he has been there.

“It’s not something big because I have the experience played for some good time now just that I have to work on my level of fitness. As you know I left football and went for business but now am back to settle. We do not have any problem but we only need to work harder before the champions’
league game.”

Vipers captain Wadada’s take
“He is a very good player but needs to work a lot on his fitness. There is no doubt he can play and attain the best level.”

“As for Miya; we are really missing him because he was one play you would rely on anytime and when in the pitch the team gained a lot of confidence. But of course their is nothing we can do but only wish him the best in his future.”

Vipers will take on Enyimba International FC on Friday 12th February in the first leg to be played in Kampala before travelling to Nigeria a fortnight later.
Sports Club Villa will gauge their level of  preparations for the Confederations cup with a crunch tie against Kenya premier league giants Tusker fc on Wednesday 3rd January at the War memorial stadium, website like this Nakivubo as confirmed by Jogoos CEO MR. Kakembo.

“We shall be playing Tusker fc and not Gormahia fc. The venue, time and all other programmes remain as earlier planned, ” Mr. Kakembo revealed to Chimp Sports.

The CEO could not openly explain why the Kenyan champions were not coming saying that, “Gormahia’s match has been post poned to the future (indefinate)” he further pointed out “They (Gormahia) were supposed to cater for their own return air tickets and internal transport while ours (Villa) was to provide meals and accormodation.”

However our sources from Kenya revealed the Kenyan side expected full facilitation from SC Villa which the hosts were not in a position to honor. It was reported that the famous Pastor Kayanja had offered to facilitate the accormodation.

SC Villa are preparing to travel to Sudan next week to face Al Khartoum in the first leg of the Caf confederations cup.
