Police on Wednesday morning arrested FDC bigwigs Ingrid Turinawe and Doreen Nyanjura.
The duo together with a group of FDC supporters defied police orders and marched from the Nakawa Magistrates court in a bid to reach the city centre protesting against the continued detention of former FDC presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye.
Turinawe was among FDC bigwigs who were at the court awaiting Dr Kizza Besigye’s hearing in the treason case.

Court said a decision on the request would be made on June 15.
Ingrid protested the new development as unfair.
