Owino Exits Azam FC
Cranes defender Joseph Owino has ended his spell at Tanzanian outfit AZAM FC to join Uganda Revenue Authority on a one year deal.
The lanky defender arrived at Azam FC from Uganda’s SC Villa, making many appearances during his time in Tanzania, and his contract has been cancelled after half season of the Vodacom Premier League 2012-2013.
The move to URA FC marks Owino’s second spell in Ugandan topflight football after playing for SC Villa. He has been a regular in the Azam team but recurring injuries see him come back to Kampala.
Owino said: “I am delighted to be back home, my contacts and cooperation with Ugandan football has never broken down. I hope to help the team as soon as possible especially in the Orange African Champions League”.
