Proline’s Tibingana Joins SC Vitoria
Proline Soccer Academy have sold their Rwanda’s U-20 international Charles Tibingana to newly promoted side SC Victoria University at an undisclosed fee.
The director of the club Mujib Kasule confirmed the move. "It's true we have sold Tibingana to Victoria University though I am not ready to disclose the fee," he said.
The winger was among the starts at the club and his performance earned him a place on the Rwanda U-20 side.
The winger was influential and also managed to score a hat trick last season for his club against Utoda FC in the second half of the season.
Proline FC has not signed any new player so far in the window and Mujib said the club would depend on its youth project for reinforcement and will only go into the market if they identify a right player. "We are going to recruit from the academy. Chances are minimal that we shall go into the market for experienced players," he stated.
The club finished sixth last season and at one moment threatened to lift the league title.
The core of the team that includes Yusuf Mukisa, Apollo Razak, William Wadri, Gift Ali and Richard Luyima, however, remain untouched.
Tibingana's sale brings the number of players that have so far left Proline FC to 2 after custodian Yasin Mugabi also left the club for URA FC in July.
