Power Suffer 4th Defeat
D’Mark power basketball team suffered their fourth defeat of the season to arch rivals Kyambogo warriors in a game played Friday night at YMCA courts, Wandegeya, Kampala.
Warrior’s win consolidates their lead on the top of the airtel basketball league table.
Power had the better of the game in the first two quarters taking the lead of 20-18 and both teams settled for a 15-15 in the second quarter.
In the third quarter power lost steam and Ronnie Kasewu, Sam Gombya and Henry Malinga scoring three pointers for Warriors.
Ronnie Kasewu had 15 points, Henry Malinga 14 , Cyrus Kiviri 11 points and Sam Gombya 8.
Joseph Ikong top scored for Power with 15 points while Isaac Lugudde managed 12 points.
After the game, Kasewu said that win was a boost for the club a head of the zone 5 games.
“We played a good game and the win has boosted the boys’ confidence and we are now looking for to Zone 5,” said Kasewu.
