Mubiru Buys Muhangi’s Car
Rally driver Duncan Mubiru “Kikakane” has bought Charles Muhangi’s Subaru Impreza N12.
Sources from Wandegeya told Chimp Sport that Mubiru bought Muhangi’s car at “pretty good price” and the deal was finalized on Friday evening.
This is the fourth car the businessman has bought for car rallies.
He first got a Mitsubhi Evolution 5 formerly with Charlie Lubega and Ronald Sebuguzi; then Evolution 8 from Kenya and finally Subaru N14 from Emmanuel Kato.
Mubiru was leading the national rally championship before losing the lead to Jas Mangat after the youthful driver dropped out of the pearl rally last month.
In what now appears as a move to clinch the national championship, Mubiru has decided to go for a more powerful car.
Muhangi bought this factory-prepared car from Dubai in 2010. He has used the machine for only four races.
Mubiru is set to use this car in the Jinja Challenge rally set for this month.
