Nzikuru Fails Critical Test At Olympics

 12:00pm: All Ugandan eyes will this afternoonbe set on TV sets when Former world steep chase champion Dorcus Inzikuru steps into action in women’s steep chase heat in the London Olympics.

This is the first time the Arua Gazelle is taking part in a serious event since winning the world championship medal in 2006 in Helsinki Finland.

The runner has been blowing hot and cold after giving birth to her son Emmanuel.

On several occasions he has been taking part in local events.

The good news from London is that the athletics have received kits from their mangers and are ready to take the track.

This week Ugandan kits got lost on their way to London.

Meanwhile, Kiplagat  become the first Ugandan athlete at the Olympics to make it through the qualifying round, after Captain and swimmer Ganzi  Mugula, Jamila  Lukunse, weight lighter Charles Ssekyeya, and Badminton ace Edwin Okiringi dropped out.

Benjamin Kiplagata qualified by place in sixth from heat one by recording a qualifying time of 8:18:44.
