Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi has confirmed the incident.

“Yes, there has been shooting in Nakawa. The guard is attached to a private security firm, Securex Group,” says Ssenkumbi.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Mulago Referral Hospital for postmortem.

Ssenkumbi tells Chimpreports.com news desk that investigations into the callous incident are underway.

“The details are still scanty. But we will update you later,” he notes.

“We are also liaising with Securex Company to identify the shooter,” says Ssenkumbi.

This is the latest in a spate of murders orchestrated by what police has termed as “ill-trained” security guards.

Police is yet to hold suspects.
