Plain textCRIME: Rwanda Teen Kills Sister With Hoe, Injures Brother Over Food
A 12-year-old kid killed his sister and injured his brother on Sunday in Nyaruguru District, Rwanda.
Theophile Muhimpundu hit and killed his 10 year old sister using a hoe and severely injured his four year old younger brother.
Muhimpundu took a very dangerous move after he was denied food.
The dead and injured were taken to Munini health center while the culprit is detained at Munini Police Station for further management.
Claudine Musabyimana, Muhimpundu’s mother said that her son had left school early without any reason. She expressed shock at her son’s actions.
“It's shocking that a twelve year old can commit such an atrocity,” said Rwanda Police publicist Superintendent Theos Badege.
Badege condemned the crime, urging parents to talk to children and understand their difficulties at several maturity stages.
Badege further called upon parents to be role models of their children and help in shaping their destiny.
