Two Killed In Fatal Bus Accident Along Masaka Highway
At least two lives were lost on Friday morning when Mbarara-bound Jussy coach, registration number UAH 882R, was involved in a head-on collision with a saloon car along Kampala- Masaka highway.
The incident occurred at 3am.
According to the police public relations officer in charge of Central West, Phillip Mukasa, two occupants of a saloon car registration number UAF 395H, perished in the accident.
One of the deceased has been identified as Thomas Mulere.
Police is yet to identify the body of Mulere’s colleague.
“A few occupants in Jussy coach sustained minor injuries. The driver of the saloon car must have been asleep at the time of the accident,” said Mukasa.
He cautioned against reckless driving.
