Plain textGunshots Rock Makindye; Security Guard Wounded
Kampala police have arrested a security guard attached to Falcon Security Company for attempting to kill his colleague Gusta Mugisha in a deadly shoot out.
The bloody incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mubaraka Zone, Makindye, a Kampala suburb.
Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi says the guards, who were on duty at Hass fuel station, used guns in a fight over Shs1000.
According to Ssenkumbi, Bule Bernard opened fire after Mugisha failed to pay the Shs1, 000 debt.
The gunshots ravaged Mugisha’s thigh. He was rushed to Nsambya Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.
Ssenkumbi notes the accused was drunk at the time he shot his friend.
“Since Bule was under the influence of alcohol, we shall charge him with attempted murder.”
