Ugandan Journalist Slapped By Minister At President's Residence
Reports coming from a neighboring country indicate that a top Ugandan journalist was last week slapped by a government minister at the residence of the head-of-state.
Drama started unfolding when the journalist accused two powerful ministers of stopping payments for his services.
“These ministers you see here blocked my payments. You need to do something about it,” the journo urged the President.
The statements were so embarrassing to the ministers. “It appeared as if they were sabotaging the scribes’ work,” said a source.
The President then ordered one of the ministers to look into the matter.
But shortly after the President had excused himself, the source added, the minister grabbed the journalist by the collar and slapped him hard in the face.
“It was an army general who rescued the journalist,” the source said.
