Myko Ouma Sets Jazz Record At Serena
A GRIPPED nation last Friday evening saw Myko Ouma sing his heart out at Kampala Serena Hotel, setting a record as one of the best guitarist to have ever visited the Pearl of Africa.
“I can confess that for the first time tonight I have actually attended a Jazz show. Everyone can see that it was really extraordinarily brilliant,” said singer Michael Ross who was among the star-studded audience.
The distinguished diapsora-based Ugandan guitarist proved the show was a million times better than anything Ugandans have had in recent years as he sung heart-warning pieces of music.
Local music stars Maurice Kirya, who also performed alongside Benon of Swangz Avenue and Susan Kerunen, later confessed he was Ouma’s guitar student, sending audience into rib-cracking laughter.
Attended by crème de la crème of Kampala’s corporate and socialite class, the gig went on deep in the night till guests agreed they had value for money.
