Judge Hands Down 4 Year Sentence To Bad Black
9:00AM: Thursday: Bad black has been sentenced to four years in jail while Meddie Sentongo was handed down an 18 months jail term at Luzira Prison.
Justice Catherine Bamugemereire ruled that Black should have realized that the money she was spending was not from her own personal bank account.
She declined to order a refund for the lost monies, saying David Greenhalgh did not show any deligence in selection of business partners.
The judge further faulted the British businessman of falling short of putting in place measures to protect company resources.
Sentongo was blamed for accepting the transfer of swindled money from Barclays Bank account to his account in Standard Chartered Bank.

There was sorrow, gloom and hopelessness as the Anti-Corruption Court convicted the Kampala socialite on a charge of embezzlement and two separate counts of conspiracy to defraud billions of shillings from a company jointly owned with British lover David Greenhalgh.
Justice Catherine Bamugemereire ruled she had found Black and his former boyfriend Meddie Ssentongo guilty of conspiring to defraud Davenshan Development Company $3.9m.

Prosecution led by Paul Lakidi alleged that in September 2010, Greenhalgh jointly formed a company with Bad Black to deal in land purchase and property management.
Greenhalgh, who is a manager in Air Services in the UK, had 75% shares, while Bad Black had 25%.
