Uganda Mourns Dancehall Music Star Mr X
Mr X of the Kaddo Pharm crew, famous for his ragga-dancehall abilities has died.
The death of Mr X was confirmed by his close friend and CEO of Kaddo Pharm crew Gift ov Kaddo.
Mr X died on Thursday after a short illness. Reports available indicate that he got health complications last week and was taken to his parents’ home for treatment. Unfortunately, he died after one week.
Mr X is remembered for his contribution to the growth of the music industry. His collaboration with Jose Chameleone titled Baby Gal topped regional charts for about two years. After a stay with Leone Island crew, Mr X took a break from the music industry to concentrate on education.
He returned after three years and joined the Goodlyfe crew in 2009. However, Mr X together with Gift ov Kaddo left Goodlyfe crew and formed the Kaddo Pharm. Some of the songs MR X sang with Gift ov Kaddo under their record label Kaddo Pharm include Hurting You, Calling, Cherie Ndagukunda, Aisha, Computer Love, Co-driver, and Trafficman Officer remix. He also featured on the Locomotives’ Whistle song released in 2010. At his death, Mr X has been having several new and uncompleted projects.
On learning about his sudden death, music fans turned to social media websites to pay their last tributes to the fallen star.
“R.I.P MR.X Yo Music Lives,” Frank Jah Live, a video producer posted.
“Gone 2 soon . . . RIP MR X . . .,” Abba Marlone Muwonge, the general manager at Hyve records wrote.
“Mr X of Gift of Kaddo farm passes on R.I.P,” Hot100 Ug wrote.
“We are truly saddened by the death of Mr. X. Mr. X was more than just a friend; he was an amazing person. He was always so kind and considerate to us that we always welcomed seeing her at every opportunity,” Africa Koona on Dembe FM posted.
