Pastor Mulinyabigo says they paid Shs. 390,000 and successfully had their plan approved by the Town Clerk some time back, but he changed his mind after meeting with John Bosco.

He says the church members had had a fight with the tycoon, who tried severally without success to buy their land.

The Town clerk Justine Barekye however, says the church’s plan failed to meet the required Municipal standards.

He says for instance the land was too small for a church and that it is in a residential area, where churches and factories are not allowed.

The RDC Ibanda Ellusto Akatuhewba while speaking at a meeting on the matter, urged the church members to follow the laws and find somewhere else to erect their structure, or they would be arrested.
