Nassuna scored four goals as Uganda thumped Zanzibar 9-0 on Tuesday at the ongoing women’s CECAFA tournament.

Nakimbugwe, mother to Nassuna who also attended the game said she felt happy seeing her daughter take on the mantle of playing football.
“Ofcourse, as a mother I feel proud to see her (Nassuna) represent Uganda like we also did. I’m Happy that I have someone who carried on the talent,” said Nakimbugwe who also played for the crested cranes.
Nassuna scored her first goal in the 40th minute converting a penalty before she grabbed her second and crane’s fifth of the day from a free kick 13 minutes after recess.
The skillful forward scored the third and fourth in the 82nd and 85th minute respectively. The other goals were scored by Laki Otandeka (brace),Christine Nambirigge and Ikwaput Fazirah(brace).
Nassuna also guided Kawempe Muslim to their second successive league title scoring 18 goals and 17 assists and was crowned MVP.
