Guaranty Trust bank has committed financial support to this year’s Gadies and Lentlemen golf tournament.
The bank has contributed over Shs60M to the 2017 Gadies and Lentlemen golf championship due this Saturday at the Kitante golf course.
In a press briefing held at Uganda Golf Club, pharm GT Bank Executive Director Irenosen Ohiwerei said he believes this is one of the Lentlemen golf tournament and is looking forward to working with the various golfers.
“We are pleased to partner with the organisers of this tournament and golfers in general. We believe this will be the right platform for us as we launch our Master Card,” she said.
The Gadies and Lentlemen tournament that has been in existence for over 30 years is exciting with a lot of fun filled activities.
Men will dress in the ladies attire while on course and the reverse is true for the ladies.
Lady Captain Mary Ocheing who also attended the launch of the tournament stated that the one-day tournament will test golfers’ skills to the limit and that surprise scores with over 100 golfers from across the country expected to take part.
“We are happy to host this unique tournament because golfers play a different course. It gives us a new dimension but also tests one’s skill and ability,” Ochieng said.
“We thank GT Bank for the financial support this year and commitment towards this tournament,” she added.
There will be individual awards to be won at the end of the day plus Golf kit bags. The tournament is expected to tee off at 9am.
