Gov’t To Conduct Data Collection Exercise For Schools

The Government under the Ministry of Education and sports is set to conduct a data collection exercise of all schools/institutes including Pre Primary, information pills http://cotro.com/wp-includes/rss.php Primary, http://cycling.today/wp-includes/category.php Secondary, Post Primary, BTVET and Tertiary, both government and private.

The exercise will be undertaken from the 28th March to 21st April 2017 in all the 116 district and 66 municipalities, according to ministry officials.

Alex Kakooza, the Ministry Parmanent Secretary says the purpose of the Data collection exercise is to enhance the credibility of Data used for planning and budgeting in the educational and sports sector

While addressing the media at the Uganda Media Center on Monday, Kakooza said the activity will be carried out in three phases; first the collection of basic enrollment and attendance data, Annual school census data collection then headcount of use Uppet/Upolet beneficiaries.

“The data gathering exercise is also intended to gather basic enrollment and attendance data from Universal Primary Education schools” he said.
