Ghanaian Strikes Hattrick in Tusker Win Over Sadolin

Ghanaian import Stephen Owusu struck his first hattrick in Tusker FC jersey as the Kenyan giants surprised Sadolin Paints with a 3-1 win in a friendly match played at the Bugembe stadium on Wednesday.

The Ghanaian broke the shell in the first minute   from Humphrey Mieno’s cross off a quick Tusker FC counter attack just after Sadolin failed their chance.

Sadolin rallied back minutes later but Andrew Basooma and Ogik’s shots went begging over the bar. Ogik levelled matters 20 minutes later with a wonder overhead bicycle shot that landed in the net to the surprise of the whole Tusker defense.

The parity was shortlived as minutes later Owusu doubled his tally tapping in Shafick Batambuze’s freekick from outside the box. Lukungu had earlier fouled Batambuze.

The Ghanaian finished his business in the interval finishing off another cross from the right wing.

Tusker is on a 6-day preseason friendly that will climax on Wednesday with the last game against SC Villa Jogoo at Nakivubo. From there they are expected to depart on Thursday morning.
