Departed former Internal Affairs Minister Gen Aronda Nyakairima will lie in State at Parliament on Thursday when a special session will be held in his honour.
Members of Parliament led by Parliamentary Commissioner, site Hon. Reagan Okumu and other dignitaries received the body of the Late Hon. Gen. Aronda Nyakairima at Entebbe Airport today.
The body arrived aboard an Emirates Airlines flight at 1.30 p.m. from Dubai.
Gen. Nyakairima died aboard a flight from South Korea on Saturday September 12, physician http://cizgisactasarim.com/wp-includes/class-ixr.php 2015.
He was returning from an official trip to South Korea.
The team of Members of Parliament at the airport comprised; Hon. Elijah Okupa and Hon. William Nzonghu.
In attendance were also the UPDF Army Commander, medications http://cybermed.edu.my/wp-admin/includes/translation-install.php Gen. Katumba Wamala, Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura, the Commissioner General of Prisons, Dr. Johnson Byabashaija and other senior army and Police officers.
The body was taken to the Mulago Hospital for another post-mortem exercise.
Members of Parliament and public will view the body after which a special sitting will be held at 2.00 p.m. in his honour.
An overnight vigil will be held at his residence in Buziga.
On Friday, Gen Aronda’s body will be taken to Kololo Independence Grounds for a Church Service before being flown to his ancestral home in Rukungiri for burial on Sunday.
Gen Aronda last appeared in Parliament between Sept 1 – 3, 2015, when it met to consider the creation of new districts, Supplementary Schedules 1, 2, 3 and the NGO Bill, 2013, which directly fell under his docket and some of which were passed.
