Muteesa finished with a player less after defender Fatuma Nandawula was given matching orders by centre referee Anna Akoyi for retaliation towards the end of the first half.

Kawempe dominated proceedings right from the start and Favour Nambatya gave the hosts an early lead heading home Hasifa Nassuna’s cross from a free kick in the 6th minute.

Youngster Juliet Nalukenge doubled the lead for the hosts at the half hour mark tapping home from close range Favour Nambatya’s low cross.

Nandawula was sent off with a minute to half time after head batting Kawempe’s Tracy Akiror.

Goalscorer Favour Nambatya who had suffered a cut on her eye midway through the first half was replaced by Apon Sharon after the interval.

The result means Kawempe Muslim stretch their lead at the summit of Elizabeth group with 18 points in 6 games while Muteesa remain 3rd on 12 points.
