Fury as Mulago Delays Carol’s Treatment in US

Carol Atuhirwe has secured all the money she needed for her treatment

Mulago National Referral Hospital is being accused of delaying the treatment of popular cancer patient Carol Atuhirwe in the United States.

The Hospital is reportedly delaying the processing of the required documents needed for the trip to the US.

Carol recently secured all the funds required for an operation on her throat, dosage through a fundraising drive dubbed Save Carol, visit where Ugandans contributed generously to the noble cause.

She even donated an excess Shs. 57 million to the national hospital’s cancer institute, viagra having obtained the needed 270million.

Muhereza Kyamutetera, who was leading the fundraising drive revealed on Sunday that Mulago’s Medical Board in Mulago was taking time to release the referral needed to the US, which will be used to secure a medical visa and subsequently fly out.

“The latest we know is that they said they will sit on Tuesday to decide our case!!! I do not wish to interfere with the medical profession, but I know every minute is critical in saving Carol,” protested Kyamutetera

“Once again I urge all of us Ugandans to rise up again and show Mulago how angry we can get. We need our Carol airborne like yesterday.”

Mulago officials had not returned our requests for comments on the development.
