The event has been organized by Tango Sports limited as one of the ways to boost football in the region.

“The main objective is to promote football in this region while also giving the clubs a chance to gauge their preseason preparations,” Tango Sports manager Joseph Mutaka said.

“We are also courting a guest team from beyond the borders or a big club in the league. This will help the teams shape better.”

The participating teams are expected to pay about Shs1m as registration fee while the guests are admitted freely but have no chance to win the medals or money prize.
