Fufa Names Referees for Controversial Cup Replay

Uganda national netball team; the She Cranes are expected to begin their quest for the 2015 Netball Diamond Challenge on Tuesday evening with a mouthwatering clash against Malawi.

The She Cranes were invited at the one-week tournament credit to their exploits at the international stage that has seen them qualify for the 2015 Netball world cup for the first time since 1978.

Uganda will then face Zambia and South Africa on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th respectively. The Top two teams will contest for the championship while the runners-up will battle in the third place play-off.

The tournament will present a good preparation for the She Cranes since all the four teams in the week long invitational tourney will all be present in the 2015 world cup later this year.

UK-based Peace Proscovia will captain the team of 12 ladies called up for the tournament. Federation of Uganda Football Associations [Fufa] through its referees Standing Committee (FRSC) has named the match officials to take charge of the controversial Uganda cup replay pitting SC Villa against KCCA Fc set for Tuesday 16th June at the Mandela national stadium, treat http://chaudharylaw.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-links-list-table.php Namboole.

According to Mr. Sam Mpiima, http://coparmex.org.mx/wp-admin/includes/class-language-pack-upgrader.php the Chairman FRSC, Alex Muhabi will be the overall ref manning the match and will be assisted by Mr. Hussein Bugembe and Mr. Ronald Katenya as the first and second assistants respectively.

Joseph Ochom will act as the Fourth official and Mr. Haruna Mawanda will be the Match Assessor. Fufa vice president Mr. Darius Mugoye will assume the Match Commissioner’s role. Mr. Mpiima also assured fans of higher levels of discipline and performance and professionalism from the selected officials.

“We want to assure our football fans that the referees will do their best to give a good show tomorrow. We are mindful of the past and we do not want to see a recurrence of the mistakes. May the best team win” he assured.

The match was earlier on abandoned after fan invasion by KCC Fc fans, in Ntungamo, who were protesting a string of biased officiating by the referee of the day, one and only Robert Donney. SC Villa were leading by a lone goal by Erisa Sekisambu from a dubious penalty awarded in the second half.
