The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) on Wednesday delivered assortments including food and clothes collected from around the country during the 2016 Uganda Cup campaign.

Fufa initiated the noble cause as part of a community social responsibility (CSR) and attached it to the recently concluded cup competition where Vipers SC emerged champions after rolling past West Nile side Onduparaka in the finals.

Uganda cup winners Vipers SC were also represented by club CEO Mr. Perter Lwanga and also their Media officer/ PRO Sandra Awori among others.
While addressing the media, Dr. Bernard Ogwel applauded the great initiative at the missionary home.
“We thank the leadership for the strong value they have attached to humanity. We felt you are doing a great role and we wanted to be part of you,” said Ogwel
“As Fufa, we want to thank all the football fraternity and whoever contributed towards this great cause,” he added.
Br. Roshan Beck, the director of the orphanage thanked Fufa for initiating the campaign to support the needy.
“We are happy for such a great contribution from Fufa and everyone who offered help to us.”
The federation started the social community responsibility campaign during the semifinals of 2015/16 Uganda cup season in which clothes and other items were collected.
