Rev.Fr. Gaetano Batanyenda has warned members of parliament against the scrapping of age limits and amendments in land laws that are going to be tabled in Parliament.
The outspoken clergy says the amendment law that is being proposed by the cabinet on land is intended to make people landless and allow government to grab peoples land.
He warned that the intending law of scrapping of age limit is not coming in good faith but only intended to favor President Yoweri Museveni’s 2021presidential bid since he will have passed the 75 years limit.
“Am sending you members of parliament and let this be your new year resolution of not passing laws which will infringe on people’s rights like the proposed land law as well as the scrapping of age limit in the constitution, salve http://cippico.com/wp/wp-includes/simplepie/registry.php ” he said.
