Dr. Isabalija’s appointment was announced on Friday, shop http://cinemalogue.com/wp-admin/includes/widgets.php November 4th after a reshuffle in the Parmanent Secretaries of various Ministries that saw many new faces introduced.
He replaces Eng. Kabagambe Kaliisa, information pills http://csautomation.net/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-embed.php the former, who has been appointed the Senior Presidential Adviser on Oil, Gas and Minerals.
In a congratulatory message to Dr. Isabalija, Victoria University expressed their confidence in their former don, who they say will make a great contribution in the energy sector.
“As a university that runs a department of Petroleum and Energy Studies, we wish to applaud his (Isabalija) appointment and also re-echo his message. That education promotes active participants in transforming societies and we believe he will make a great contribution to the Energy sector as he has done in the past,” read part of the message.
Dr. Isabalija, a management professional, accountant, academic and administrator has served as the VC of Victoria University since September 2013.
Prior to his appointment as VC, he served as Assistant Lecturer and then lecturer at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
Aside from his job at Victoria University, Dr. Isabalija is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL).
He also sits on the Board of Directors of Uganda Development Bank (UDB) and is a delegate in the Uganda Women’s Entrepreneurship Association.
