Mbarara City Junior team defeated SC Villa Joogo 3-2

Fufa Juniors League

SC Villa Joogo Junior team 2-3 Mbarara City Junior team
Mbarara City Junior team continued their brilliant start in the Fufa Juniors League with yet another great display on Saturday.
Playing their first game away from home, Mbarara City put up a spirited performance to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory against SC Villa Joogo junior team at Villa park,Nsambya.
The visitors had to come back on two occasions in the game before eventually taking the lead and walking away with all three points.
Despite starting the better side and creating several chances, it was SC Villa who took the lead through Kirwana Junior in the 16th minute.
A defence mixup between Mahad Rashid and Salim Kakooza gifted Kirwana with the ball and he did no mistake to slot past goalkeeper Andrew Ahebwomugisha.
This seemed to be a wake up call to the visitors who kept surging forward in pursuit of an equalizer.
The attempts yielded results four minutes after the half hour mark with midfielder Nathaniel Atamba converting a penalty after a foul on forward Dennis Omony in the box.
Villa regain their lead two minutes into the second half through reliable striker Charles Lwanga but this was short lived as the visitors responded quickly through Hassan Faki’s well curled free kick.
Atamba once again registered his be on the score sheet with a classic finish in the 67th minute to help Mbarara win the game 3-2.
The result means Mbarara City top hat trick group with 11 points in three games while SC Villa lost their second game this season and have only three points.
