Forum for Democratic Change top mobiliser for Butambala District Farouq Kikulukunyu has passed away.
Party spokesperson John Kikonyogo confirmed the death of Kikulukunyu this morning in a brief statement.
The stalwart was reportedly knocked down by a speeding lorry last evening, killing him instantly.
Kikulukunyu has been described by colleagues as an “active and hardworking member of the party despite having brothers that have strong connection to the regime.”
“He was full of energy, vigor, and a no nonsense cadre. He would do anything to see the party he loves gets to where we want to be,” retorted a coluge Kaija harold.
“It’s Unfortunate that he has died without seeing the Uganda he wanted to shape.”
He is expected to be laid to rest today at his ancestral home in Kabasanda.
Meanwhile another FDC stalwart Jorum Apuuli has been rushed to Nairobi Hospital with severe brain illness.
The Kabarole district council Leader of Opposition and Fort Portal South division mobiliser was referred to India and Nairobi Hospitals by medics at IHK for better treatment of a migraine headache that has destabilized him for years.
Sources say IHK doctors revealed to him that all the drugs he had been taking from Kadic, Case clinic and other facilities have only been putting him to more danger and therefore needed to rush for further scrutiny.
