Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has accused President Yoweri Museveni for engaging in ‘illegal early campaigns while hiding behind the UPDF’s Operation Wealth Creation program.’
Museveni is currently on a five day tour of the areas of Luweero district , price http://citadelgroup.com.au/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/loop/price.php where he is visiting people’s gardens, http://crunchydomesticgoddess.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-list-roles-endpoint.php homes and giving them practical guidance on how to modernize their farms and earn more from them.
This morning, http://danielpyne.com/wp-includes/class-wp-http-response.php president Museveni was pictured fetching irrigation water on a bicycle, to drive home his message of small scale irrigation as a solution to the unpredictable climate that hampers farmers output countrywide.
To the opposition FDC however, President Museveni was indirectly campaigning for the 2021 presidential elections, which they said is illegal.
“Mr. Museveni has started campaigning for office. This is what he is doing,” said Harold Kaija the Deputy Secretary General during a weekly press briefing in Najjanankumbi.
“He’s doing this well aware that his age will not permit him to stand in the next election.”
Kaija proceeded to blame the president for micromanaging everything in the country, and taking over the work of local leaders.
“What would an LC1 leader do, this kind of micromanagement that he is currently involved in is simply running a campaign. Presidents do serious stuff,” Kaija said.
FDC also believes that the president’s actions are a sign that UPDF’s OWC program has failed and is making efforts to save it.
“This is a confession that he is a poor economic manager; while some time ago he told us that civilians can’t manage the economy and brought soldiers on board.”
