Maroons football club stretched their lead at the top of the Elgon group with a convincing victory against struggling side Doves All stars.

After defeating Simba 5-0 last week, http://catrinmacdonnell.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/functions.photon.php Maroons produced another brilliant performance outclassing Dove All stars 5-2 at the prisons ground, Luzira on Thursday.

Fufa Big league leading top scorer Patrick Kaddu continued his scoring spree with a brace to take his tally to 12 goals this season, while Pius Obuya (brace) and Walusimbi Solomon all were on target.

Second half substitutes Hakim Keems and Driliga Amos scored for the visitors to walk away with pride.

Walusimbi opened the scores as early as the 9th minute heading home Sydney Chika’s cross.

Maroons continued to dominate possession and combative midfielder Ronald Orombi came close to scoring but his effort went off target.

Pius Obuya doubled the lead at the half hour mark tapping from close range after a quick exchange of passes that left the visitor’s defenders flat footed.

It was even worse for the visitors after recess as Maroons scored three more goals in the second stanza.

Pius Obuya scored his second of the day and Maroon’s third the 58th minute before Patrick Kaddu scored two goals to complete the rout.

The visitors punished the Prison warders for complacency scoring two late goals in the final two minutes of the game.

The result means Maroons stretch their lead in the Elgon group to 35 points, eight points above second placed Ndejje University.
