Express @60: Hon. Owek Unveils Pr. Kakande, Celebrations to Follow

Hon. Owek is a former Kampala Woman MP aspirant who was recently appointed a cabinet Minister of State for Youth and Children. She takes over the reigns from Mr. Francis Ntalazi who has been at the helm of the oldest football club in the country for the past three years.

These are celebrations to mark 60 years the club has existed since birth in October 1957.

The string of celebrations will run under the theme “Honouring the past to inspire the glorious future” and will be officially launched on 15th July and climax 23rd July at a grand ceremony in Wankulukuku.

Different events will take place in the celebrations including football gala among teams from the different branches, a match between current players and club legends, blood donations, Launching fans association, Express FC magazine, documentary and Launch of seasonal tickets.

Resolutions to empower fans association.

Express FC’s CEO Rams Hadji encouraged the fans to register as a limited company by guarantee so as to be able to acquire shares and own the club, register members to curb hooligans and draft a constitution.

The Red Eagles finished third in the just concluded premier league with 53 points same as runners up, Vipers SC who posed a superior goal advantage.
