The veteran NRA/UPDF officer, Brig. Geoffrey ‘Taban’ Kyabihende (RO/00094) is sick and his condition being closely monitored by the army.
Brig. Kyabihende, 56, commonly known by his nickname Taban, is currently the military attaché to Kinshasa, DRC.
He was admitted at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala according to sources in the military.
“Taban is not doing well health wise. He is sick and the condition is not getting any better,” a source said.
ChimpReports understand several generals have been flocking Nakasero Hospital since Tuesday morning to check on the comrade who is among the first 100 NRA soldiers.
He joined NRA relatively at the same time with FDC’s Rt. Col. Kizza Besigye whose number is RO/00098.
Kyabihnde was among the Museveni’s first 7 bodyguards under late Fred Rwigyema. Others included late Capt. Marious Katungi, Maj. Gen. Pecos Kutesa (Army Member of Parliament), late captains Aziz Bey and Kasasaira.
Details about Kyabihende’s sickness are however not yet known.
