Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes goalkeepers Ismael Watenga and James Alitho were on Thursday, this site http://classlitigation.com/wp-admin/includes/continents-cities.php January 5th awarded the most outstanding sports personalities in Eastern Uganda (specifically Bugisu region) during an awards gala held at Namboko hotel in Mbale town.
The awards are an innovation of the Eastern Uganda sports Press Association (EUSPA) based in Mbale.
The duo was awarded for their exploits in the 2015 Cecafa (in Ethiopia) and 2016 CHAN (Rwanda) as well as the road to qualification.
Watenga scooped the golden glove award in the Cecafa senior challenge. He has also been regularly summoned to the Cranes senior team on top of finishing as second best goalie in the Uganda premier League.

In same event, Islamic University in Uganda football team (IUIU) was crowned the team of the month of December (2016) for reaching the quarter finals stage at the recently concluded East African University games which were hosted at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi, Kenya.
IUIU garnered 180 votes beating off competition from youngstar Emmanuel Mudebo, a 16 year old midfielder from the African Village Sport Academy who collected 170 votes.
Mudebo was voted the most valuable player in the Bulambuli Youth Tournament which was held in December where his team reached in the finals but lost to Sun rise.
Blessed Academy and Mbale Heroes were also commended for good performances in the month of December.
