FK Tirana lost 2-0 to Maccabi Tel Aviv away in Isreal in the round 1 of the UEFA EUROPA qualifiers.

Ssentamu who made his debut and played the entire 90 minutes could not help his side to secure a descent result at the Netanya stadium.

Ahead of the return leg slated for Thursday (today), the Albanian side needs to overhaul the first leg score to stand a chance of advancing to the next round.

Team manager Ze Maria is confident his team has the ability to overturn the 2-0 loss and advance.

“I believe we have rectified on the mistakes we made last week and there is hope that we can win at home and advance to the next round,” he said as quoted by the club social media accounts.

Just like Ssentamu, Ze Maria, the former Gor Mahia coach was making his debut in the dugout for FK Tirana.
